How-To | DIY Hoodie for Men in 20min ✂ | DIY Clothes for Men

Hi loves This period I’m going to share how to DIY clothes for men. In today’s video I’ll show you whence to make a hoodie. Sew it for your bf, brother, father or friend. The model emphasized in this article is Nilson, my sibling.

For this tutorial I used 2 measures or measure of jogging fabric. Fold it double with the wrong side up and then arrange a hoodie to cut the frame. The hoodie I practiced is from Karl Kani, a name that Tupac and Notorious BIG wore. Do you remember Karl Kani? I used to struggle for the European company and I loved that I could combine my passion for fashion, city music and PR in this job. And I also hope that we will see more loose fit urban fashion again in the expectation.

Take the leftover fabric and one of your sleeves and cut the shape Make sure you add 1.5 inch or 4cm to the bottom of the sleeves. I cut mine a bit too close. Place what you cut on the fabric and cut again Take your hoodie and cut the shape. Make sure you add more to the front when you cut it Those are the pieces I just cut. Pin the sides and top and then sew it Cut the front neckline of your hoodie Turn your sleeve to the right side, place it inside and pin it all around.

Then sew it using a zig zag stitch Do the same on the other side Hem the neckline, bottom of sleeves and bottom of your hoodie Open up your hoodie and place the right side on the right side of the back Pin it, then the front and sew it Sew it and you’re done And this is the final look. Since the fabric I used is light, men can easily wear this from Spring to Fall. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. There’s a thing often hola my name is Alejandra and welcome back to my channel a while back I made a video where I upcycle a t-shirt into a skirt and you guys seem to similarity it a lot.

So today I’m going to show you how to transform a t-shirt into a peplum top it’s really easy to do also if you want to watch this video in Spanish I have a Spanish channel so make sure to check it out in the description box and I hope you guys like it to start you need an extra large t-shirt and the first step is to put it on and you’re going to mark where you want your peplum to start so for example I want mine a little below my way,

So I made the mark there then go ahead and slit along the length but don’t throw away the ground piece because of the fabric you need to make the peplum portion of the top for the next steps choose your favorite fitted tank top and the reason for it is is so you can trace that pattern to the t-shirt and once you finish cut it out leaving one inch for the seam allowance next you need a sewing machine so start by placing the right sides of the t-shirt together,

Then hem the armholes and sew the sides and when you’re done it should look something like this now I’m going to use the extra fabric from step one to create the peplum so fold the material in half and place it on a table with the fold facing you that’s important and it’s time to calculate your radius first take your waist measurement and add two inches for the seam allowance so for example my waist was approximately 28 inches,

Then I added the two extra inches which gave me a total of 30 and then I divided it by six point two and that’s my radio now that you have your size use a ruler to mark your radius from a edge to create a curve then determine how long you desire your peplum to be I decided I wanted mine six inches long so using the same method I mark six inches all around the curve and once you’re done you’re ready to cut it out by now you should have two half circles so spot the right sides together and sew on both sides to create a full circle,

So the last step is to attach the shirt and the peplum with the shirt laying with the right side out slide the peplum part with the right side facing down until the bottom edge of the shirt lines up with a smaller curve of the peplum so you should deadline up with the advantage view of the t-shirt covering the right side of the peplum then you can pin it in place and sew around that is it for this video I hope you try out this fun idea to upcycle your t-shirts and let me know if you desire more so that’s it for this video thank you so much for watching until the end let me know in the comments if you liked it and any other type of videos you would like for me to do next and I’ll see you in my next one.
